Main description
- Whale and dolphin watching, including: the bottlenose dolphin, the Atlantic spotted dolphin or the short-beaked common dolphin
- The most common of them all is the pilot whale, which you can see all year round
- With a bit of luck you will also see larger whales, such as the Bryde's whale or the sperm whale
- They are very active animals that can be observed playing, blowing bubbles, surfing or slapping their tail
- Of course, more than cetaceans you will also have beautiful views of the southern coast of Tenerife
- The tour is done in a semi-rigid inflatable boat, the best kind when it comes to whale watching
- These boats are fast (more places can be reached in less time), stable (very low probability of dizziness) and with the edge near the water (more exciting since you are closer to the animals)
Location
- This tour takes place in the south of the island, with the boat leaving from Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje
Special conditions
- Since the experience is on a boat, it is possible to get wet
- A boat is used in which it is very unlikely to get seasick - but if someone is very prone to seasickness it is recommended to take medicine for seasickness one hour before you get on the boat
Registration conditions
- You must book at least two weeks in advance to confirm your spot
Equipment and clothing
- Bring solar protection
- Bring a light raincoat
- It depends a lot on the time of the year, best to check the day before
