Main description
- The permanent exhibition offers a journey that spans from the first publication fully positioned within the field of graphic storytelling (The Monigoty, 1897) to the most recent titles and characters.
- It also highlights the early expressions of the medium in children’s and satirical magazines, dating back to the mid-19th century.
- The narrative begins around 1865, with the first manifestations of the medium, exploring its graphic and conceptual evolution, its definitive expansion in the mid-20th century, and a turning point in the 1980s, when comics came of age and firmly entered the adult audience.
- In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum follows a dynamic exhibition policy that delves into countless aspects of the art of comics.
- Regular temporary exhibitions bring us closer to the many facets of the comic universe: leading authors, iconic characters, genres, graphic trends, publishing houses, schools, and more.
